Forum Signatures
It goes without saying that whenever you use an internet forum, you should always put your websites link in your signature if that forum has that feature turned on.
I use Digital Point quite a bit, although not as much as I should and I have found that it has sent me many users, which have converted to sales, all from a simple link in my signature.
Recently I started to think how I can take advantage of this excellent source of traffic, so I looked into the possibility of buying links in other peoples signatures. Digital Point has a great marketplace here, so I used this section to put an ad up saying i was looking to buy signature links and exactly what I wanted. Within a few hours I had received many message from people saying I could buy links in their signatures, but I knew from the start I didn’t want to buy just any old link from anyone.
Firstly, I wanted to buy a link in someones signature who posted regularly .
Secondly, I wanted someone who posted in the sort of forums I wanted my link seen.
So the great thing I found is that in the ad I created I could say exactly what I wanted and then I could choose.
I ended up buying several links, ranging from $5 per month upto $12 per month, and I have been keeping an eye on how many users each link has been sending me, so I know which links to buy again next month.
So far so good, the traffic has been steady all for under $50.
